Sequence 1:  ROAD-SIDE CAMERA

A vehicle is shown moving from noisy asphalt to quieter asphalt, between Test Point 1 and Test Point 2 on Warrandyte Road. Turn the sound up to gain a feel for how much noise reduction can be achieved by using quieter asphalt.

Sequence 2:  IN-CAR CAMERA

In this longer video sequence, the camera and microphone are inside a car travelling along Warrandyte Road. Initially the car is on noisy asphalt, but then it moves onto quieter asphalt. Turn the sound up to gain a feel for how much noise reduction can be achieved by using quieter asphalt.

NOTE: The rough-textured (noisy surface) is used on the straight road section. The surface changes to a smooth-texture (quieter) throughout the curved section of road. This indicates that the rough-texture is not required for additional tyre-adhesion.
